Stow, MA

Stow is a town about 21 miles outside of Boston. It lies adjacent to the towns of Harvard, Boxborough, Acton, Maynard, Sudbury, Hudson, and Bolton, putting it squarely within Upstairs Downstairs’ neighborhood.

Like most towns in New England, Stow has a history stretching from the colonial era onwards. At present, however, Stow is probably most known for its numerous golf courses. The town hosts four golf courses, totalling 81 holes of golf. The most known of these courses is the Stow Acres Country Club course, which hosted the 1995 US Amateur Public Links Championship.

Stow’s second claim to fame are its apple orchards, which are beautiful sights in spring, and which attract people from all over in fall for apple picking season. The carefully landscaped and manicured golf courses, alongside the apple orchards’ stunning leaf colors, imbue Stow with beauty. Upstairs Downstairs Fine Tile & Stone seeks to bring that level of beauty into the homes and workspaces of all of our customers. If you want to improve the aesthetic of your home, consider calling Upstairs Downstairs, or come to our showroom at 6 Great Road in Acton.
